I love a good jumpsuit, but this one has been hanging in my closet since for a year and a half because its Miami-resort vibe was throwing me off and I couldn’t decide where it would be appropriate to wear it. The day to pull it out finally came when I found out that one of my fab friends, Dani, was walking in a fashion show to promote the launch of a new fashion app – iCONIQ STYLE.
The fashion show was at the ultra exclusive L2 Lounge in Georgetown and featured some pretty deadly cocktails, a cotton candy machine, and an interactive photo booth. There were a ton of stylish Washingtonians at the event – including my fabulous pals Roxanne and Vivi, so I was happy I opted for an outfit that had a bit of a wow-factor. True, I felt like I was extremely overdressed while Rox and I were shooting in broad daylight at the Georgetown canal, but don’t they always say there’s no such thing as being overdressed?
Now let’s talk about the elephant in the room, how I kept the girls in check with such a plunging neckline. All hail petals and double stick tape. I’m not kidding, this stuff works! Somehow, my double stick tape held up as I sweated through the 95 degree weather but I would highly recommend bringing extra tape in your bag when one move could lead to a major wardrobe malfunction.
