When I showed one of my coworkers this dress, she told me it looked like an ice skating costume. She’s right, and that’s probably why I like it so much! Always going back to those things that remind me of dance costumes (they’re the same as ice skating costumes, right?). Anyways, I opted for this lacy baby doll dress for a recent Bubbles and Bloggers event at SAX.
Our meet up was the ultimate girls night out, bubbly, burlesque, and of course, bloggers in fab outfits. The theme was to dress up in glam outfits – think fur and sequins – and everyone definitely rose to the occasion! I’m not really a sequins girl, (I do sparkles on occasion) so I opted for lace, my go-to OTK boots, and a winged liner for a touch of glam.
I’m not going to lie, creating a cat eye is really hard! I’ve been doing them for about a year and a half now so it’s gotten a little bit easier, but still can take a few tries sometimes. I’ve found that using a regular black pencil for the actual base and then a liquid marker for the wing works best for me. I like the liquid liners that are shaped like a marker because they’re easier to control and the tapered end helps you draw the wing. Here’s the eyeliner that I keep buying, the Maybelline Eye Studio Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner.
